Parts for Pickett Slide Rules

Pickett did make many design changes so when in doubt, a photo of your slide rule. For example, pocket slide rules with aluminum "Hooked" Braces have a smaller screw than all the other pockets versions.

Unfortunately we had had a rash of parts destroyed or lost using USPS 1st class, so now we have to send parts out using USPS small package with tracking in a 7x5 in bubble padded envelope. Shipping is $7 for fasteners and lens, and cursors USPS Ground. Use the PayPal button to order, with a description of what you need. Parts for Relay and Ricoh Slide Rules

The Relay Industrial Company (also know as "San Ai Keiki") was the second largest manufacturer of bamboo slide rules in Japan after World War II. The company was purchased by, and the name changed to, Ricoh in the 1960s. Relay/Ricoh bamboo slide rules were marketed under various brand names including Alvin, Compass, Dietzgen, Engineer's, Jason, Lafayette, Lutz, Micronta, Olson, Pickett, Relay, Ricoh, San Ai, Sans & Streiffe, SIC, Skyline, Wallace and Wallace and others.  They frequently did not carry any Relay or Ricoh identification and can be difficult to differentiate from Hemmi-made bamboo rules.  There are two sure ways to tell a Relay/Ricoh bamboo rule from a Hemmi rule: 1. R/R bamboo duplex rules always have plastic cursor lenses whereas Hemmi bamboo duplex rules always have glass lenses.  (This doesn't help identify the manufacturer of closed-body rules; both manufacturers used both glass and plastic on their closed-body rules.)   2. Hemmi rules always carry the Hemmi brand name somewhere--sometimes just stamped into the cursor.  If it's not marked "Hemmi" somewhere, it's R/R.

The one selected and the one you will receive is a duplicate of this image, and in most cases is in better condition (exceptions noted). Description of NOS = New Old Stock or NIB = New In Box. If you desire an original manual (as available) include an extra $10. It may not be the exact model year. If you want a photo of your selected slide rule before ordering, send us an email or we can text it to your phone. When you make a PayPal donation, list the Accession #s of the items you want.. For every $100 gifted select a $10 slide rule from the list to throw in the stack for free. A single slide rule costs $8 to ship. 5 slide rules cost $12.
