Further comments This is the only one of my school slide rules of Faber-Castell that has a date stamp on the back.

On the back is stamped in gold "Adrian Brugger, München". Most likely this is the name of the shop that sold the slide rule. Interestingly when Adolf Hitler lived in Münich, he bought his painting supplies at the shop of Adrian Brügger!
